Details Magazine: Meet the Mandingos
The March issue of Details magazine spotlights the phenomenon of Mandingo swinger parties, where middle-class and affluent white couples carry out their interracial fetishes of white wives having sex with black men. Several black men. Here’s a snip of the full article:
Jared believes that, the stereotype of black male potency notwithstanding, the fundamental dynamic in the interracial swing scene—that of black men dominating white women—is fueled by a combination of white guilt and female sympathy. But Hammer, who is an impresario of these fantasies, sees another potent element at play: the humiliation of the white husband. Up to four times a week, Hammer is asked to arrange cuckold scenes in which the husband is submissive to his wife, who is, in turn, dominated by a Mandingo. “He can’t participate, he can only watch,” he says. “And afterward, he has to clean her up.” Then there are the public-humiliation fantasies, in which a white man asks a Mandingo to kiss and grope his partner in public while he watches. Even here at the party, there’s an air of humiliation. Some of the husbands I speak with confess that they’re no longer able to satisfy their wives. And while others say they get off on watching, they’re never fully committed. “It kinda kills me sometimes,” says one partygoer, Kevin (not his real name), listening to the submission fantasies of his girlfriend, Gail (not her real name). “Because I’m not dominant. I’m really an easygoing guy.”
It’s a good article that I think lets the reader make up their own opinions about this kind of activity. Make no mistake though. This isn’t some kind of small niche within the swinger lifestyle. This kind of interracial action is happening throughout America, in the cities and suburbs. It’s a popular fetish, and it’s growing.

As a black man who is married to a white woman and has been with others (somewhere between lots and a few) I don’t quite understand this phenomenon. All of the white women I have known have/had no problem with black guys in other non-sexual situations. Their may be/have been a little of the forbidden fruit situation but I was mostly just a guy.
Same here MCB… well I’m half-black (my mom’s side), it’s not really as big of a thing as is made to look. A few thousand is a lot when you can meet people over the internet, but out of 300 million? Not so much. Frankly I find it condescending, and can’t understand some of the ugly women some really well built guys will get with, just because they’re white. Ugh, I’d rather be a friend with benefits who happens to be darker skinned with a sexy lovely woman then a stunt cock who’s good for nothing but fucking some skank in a hotel room along with 10 other guys just because I’m black.
I actually laugh at the “Once you’ve gone black” phrase, I’ve met plenty of women who were hesitant to meet with/date me because they had dated a black man or men in the past, and had been treated like shit. I know there’s assholes of every color, but damn.
Hate to rain on anyone’s parade, but a big dick does not a good lover make, in fact my best friend in high school was white, rivaled my size, and was hard pressed to keep a girlfriend just because his dad had never taught him to respect a woman. The first older woman I had the pleasure to sleep with (when I was 17) laughed in my face after about 5 minutes of intercourse. She told me, “honey, you’re huge, but all you’re doing is hurting me, and not at all in a good way.” Thankfully she was a very good teacher. ;)
