18 USC 2257
If you view a lot of porn, either movies or online Web sites, you might be aware of 18 USC 2257. This is a federal law that requires producers of adult content to keep records to prove that everyone in their videos and photos are over 18 years of age. The law has been on the books now for about 15 years, and up to this point, it’s been pretty easy to comply with.
Very soon however, 2257 will get much more complicated. Our Republican-controlled Justice Department has released a new set of record-keeping guidelines that go into effect on June 23, 2005. Plus, enforcement of 2257 is expected to ramp-up, especially since our newly-appointed Attorney General recently announced the formation of an “Obscenity Prosecution Task Force.”
Due to these new guidelines, you can expect many of your favorite adult sites to trim back many of their photo and video offerings or shut down all together, since the new 2257 record-keeping laws are so stringent that it will be nearly impossible for everyone to comply with.
What does this mean for our Hotwife Allie Web site? Well for starters, on June 23rd, Allie and I will delete many of the photo galleries and blog posts featuring photos currently on the site. Since we’re not really “porn producers,” and we’re only doing this mainly for fun, we’re not going to ask people that we play with to sign model releases and jump through all the hoops the law will require. So, we’ll likely not be posting any new photos that feature any sexual activity beyond just simple nudity.
You can expect us to be a great source of stories, info and insight into this hotwife lifestyle, as well as the world of swinging, and other fetishes that tickle our fancy.
We are very curious how some of our favorite Web sites like Redclouds and Swappernet will be able to maintain their member-submitted photo galleries, since they’re not collecting the information and maintaining the records that 2257 requires.
Don’t like 2257? Well, the best I can tell you is that we elected the lawmakers that have put it into place. It’s a hard law to repeal through the legislature, because that would me citizens would have to tell their senators and congressmen that we enjoy looking at adult content. And that’s never going to happen, right? We brought this on ourselves when we cast our votes. Votes are the only thing that will bring it down. Remember that in 2008, fellow patriots.

I have been following this fairly closely, and have also been checking in to see how RedClouds will handle it.
IMO, you don’t need to worry so much since a) you are a very small fish, and b) you are not charging for your site. In addition, any shots with you & Allie can obviously stay up (although, hypothetically, they could ask the two of you for releases, and then there are issues with where the info goes and who has access).
I would just hold off a bit before jumping the gun. Its a shame to delete so many *hot* pics. Perhaps you can start an e-mail group?

Diverse opinions are good, but rantings from the uninformed and intellectually lazy wastes everyone’s time and is not an attractive quality. Big turn off.
We are very disappointed that the last post was even allowed on this website. It was offensive at several different levels and not based on a realistic understanding of our legislature.
Our guess– a lonely guy hoping to get lucky. Tip: It will never happen.
